I have always been interested in creating many layers in my work, both physically and symbolically.  My work is very narrative in nature, each piece telling its own story.  I draw on my own personal experience as a source of inspiration in my work; this I blend with humor and personal symbolism as well as universal symbols to create intriguing images.  The use of symbols with double meanings lend a sense of mystery to my work.  My sculptures and paintings reflect the belief that the more personal my work is, the more universal it becomes.  In my work I strive to create pieces that inspire a personal mythology.  I see myself as a storyteller.  It is my desire to provide the characters and allow the viewer to weave their tale into mine.
